Workplace Health and Safety

Boncon Group places significant importance on helping people understand and reduce risk and to lead safer lives, and as part of this commitment, we aim to foster a positive safety culture in all of our own workplaces.

We believe that by systematically eliminating workplace risks we can reduce workplace injuries and illnesses.

To support this goal we have a Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Management System. The system consists of documented policies, procedures, safety plans and strategies, tools and guidelines designed to manage our health and safety.

Our promises

Boncon Group Pty Ltd recognises its moral and legal responsibilities under oworkplace health and safety (WHS) legislation to provide a safe and healthy work environment. This commitment means that we will:

Provide a safe and healthy workplace and working conditions for all,including employees, contractors, customers and visitors
Provide training to enable all employees to work safely
Comply with all relevant legislation and industry standards
Provide support and assistance to employees
Consult with staff and contractors where relevant to enhance the effectiveness of procedures
Provide adequate resources to aid employees in fulfilling their responsibilities
Conduct investigations into all reported incidents
Ensure that appropriate return to work programs are in place
Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of the health and safety systems in place.

Employees Expectation

While working at Boncon Group, all employees – irrespective of their position – will:

take reasonable care to ensure good health and safety procedures are implemented at all times
identify and support measures to eliminate or minimise unsafe conditions
assume personal responsibility for their own safety and for those of other work colleagues by always operating in a safe and appropriate manner.

Our Procedures

All Boncon Group staff will follow the outlined OH&S policies:

All tradesman wear protective uniforms at all times.
The appropriate footwear is required to be worn on the premises
Tradesmen have up to date OH & S cards and qualifications
Any visitors / customers are to report to the office. If any work is required to be performed a member of the office will request a member from the factory to discuss further details of the job and quote within the safety of the office floor. This ensures we have no issues with safety of general public being injured on our worksite.
All members are required to obey by safety signs on premises

DO YOU HAVE LIFTING EQUIPMENT?
WHEN WAS IT LAST TESTED & CERTIFIED?

Boncon Group offer a comprehensive on-site inspection and testing service covering all lifting and rigging equipment (chains, slings, winches, hoists etc). Inspections are conducted by our qualified staff and reports provided detailing current status of all equipment. Boncon will program regular inspections and tests in accordance with relevant Australian and International Standards.
