Rod has over 38 years of experience within the industry, spending many of them in a business partnership, repairing and modifying containers and lifting equipment for major container companies. Rod decided to venture out on his own, and started Boncon Services in 1999 with his typical approach to "Do it once, get it right".

Rod has a vast history and exceptional knowledge of the container industry, the key players and strong business relationships as a result. In terms of technical expertise there are few who can match Rod for his knowledge and experience of Welding, fabrication, engineer specifications and drawings, and lifting equipment. In addition Rod is a registered inspector for lifting equipment and a qualified and well regarded Dogger and Rigger.

Over the years Boncon Group has tripled in size and forged strong relationships right across the shipping container industry. Rod has built a team around him who share his work ethic, skills and good working relationships.
